Chris was raised on his family farm and also worked as a hired hand on harvest through high school.
Karly is a 3rd generation harvester and has not missed a harvest run since the age of 4. She worked 2 years as a hired hand on a harvest crew.
In 1996, Chris & Karly purchased their first semi. One year later they purchased their first combine and set out on the harvest run as C & K Harvesting & Trucking. The business has grown to currently 3-John Deere combines. 2-Tractor and grain carts. 4-Peterbilt semi's and grain hoppers. Along with other supporting equipment.
C & K Harvesting starts their harvest run in Texas harvesting wheat and travel throughout the midwest harvesting various crops including wheat, durum, lentils, soybeans, grain sorghum, corn, and canola. Currently, the northernmost stop in is Montana before the crew heads back to the Kansas/Oklahoma area for fall harvest. See our 2022 route here.
Since their first harvest run in 1997, Chris and Karly have grown a family of two sons and two daughters in the midst of their harvest experience. Each child has had a position within the crew.
